Dr. Kammi Caldwell
Dr. Kammie Caldwell is our Internal Medicine and Pain Management physician. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where she encountered many obstacles. This however, motivated her to pursue a career that would offer opportunities to help diverse communities. She attended UC Irvine where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Biology, Graduating with honors. Following this, she completed medical school and residency at Dartmouth since this time, she has practiced medicine in numerous locations and states before settling in Oklahoma.
Dr. Caldwell has a philosophy of treating the whole person. She believes that in order to obtain an appropriate degree of health, the inner and outer person must be addressed. This is done by maximally optimizing a person physically, mentally, emotionally. We offer a variety of programs to aid in this such as pain management, preventive care, functional medicine, and IV therapy ( coming sign). Dr. Caldwell feels as though pain management is more than prescribing medication but finding the underlying cause of chronic pain. Thus, a treatment plan can be created using alternative methods such as physical therapy, IV supplements. Additionally, it is imperative for preventative screenings to be done annually to ensure that patients continue to be healthy overall. Finally, functional medicine is critical in ensuring the body’s natural hormones and vitamin are within the levels that will allow a person to feel their best. Through hormone replacement therapy such as injections, creams, tablets and pellets, it can allow you to feel youthful and energetic. Dr. Caldwell feels so passionate about this, She is in the process of completing another fellowship in functional medicine so that she can offer an even more extensive list of programs.
Sammie has been married over 14 years to her husband Anthony; and with both families combined they have six children together. She has love of goats, and before moving to Tulsa. successfully ran a goat farm. She has a strong faith in God and is very family oriented. She welcomes this new chapter of her life, and is so excited to work at Total Health Medical.

She is a native Oklahoman, raised in the small town of Kansas Oklahoma, and is a country girl at heart. She grew up as a multi-sport athlete and continued to play softball and pitch at the collegiate level, where she achieved the honor of being a NJCAA All-American and SEC Academic All-American. She earned an associate degree in both art and science while attending Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, as well as her bachelor of science in nursing at the University of Arkansas. She attended graduate school at Maryville University in St Louis, earning her master of science degree in advanced practice, graduating with honors as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
As a nurse practitioner, she has a strong passion for helping patients achieve optimal wellness. Her goal as a medical provider is to be an advocate while providing a patient centered approach. This includes managing illness with a combination of both natural and modern therapies, and having the patient directly involved in their care. The practitioner’s job, she believes, is to educate and direct care safely and effectively, not dictate it. She has both clinical and practical experience in integrative medicine approaches, including natural hormone therapy for both men and women, integrative thyroid treatment, weightloss management, food sensitivity and nutritional testing, and common disease management. Additionally, she is happy to be able to provide her patients with alternative pain treatments, including specialized nonpharmacologic treatment options for neuropathy, therapeutic joint injections, platelet rich plasma therapy, migraine headache treatments, trigger point injections, and more.
She is happily married to her husband Tucson, and together they have one son, Travis, who they consider to be their miracle baby, and ultimate blessing from God. She is also an animal lover and has three dachshunds, often being teased by her husband about wanting to own a weenie dog farm! She feels blessed to be a part of the Total Health Medical group, and believes that exceptional patient care can only be provided through a collaborative team effort.”

I enjoy getting to know my patients on a deeper level. I like to look past the disease process and see what I can do to improve their daily lives. I want my patients to feel comfortable and give them 100% of my attention.
My mission is to serve God by providing holistic individualized care to each and every one of my patients; my goal is to provide care that improves quality of life by helping the body help itself. I try to rarely use medication that only mask one’s symptoms in addition to producing negative side effects.
I like to ride motorcycles and plan to do a lot of riding this summer. I live in Bartlesville, OK and spend most of my free time with my amazing friends and family, especially my niece and nephew who have me wrapped around their little fingers.
